
Pattiseema Temple & Polavaram Project Area
Tourists can visit Sri Veerabhadra Swamy temple at Pattiseema. It is one of the five ‘Pancha Kashi Kshetrams’. It is located on an island in Polavaram Mandal. According to history, the temple belongs to the 12th century, constructed by Reddy kings. Also one can visit Mahanandeeswara Swamy temple, Gandi Pochamma Temple and Polavaram Irrigation Project on the way to boating point. While boating through meanders of River Godavari tourists can enjoy aesthetic beauty of Eastern Ghats. Tourists can sight wildlife movement in the grass lands on either side of the river Godavari.
Perantalapalli Temple is located on the hilltop and offers view of the confluence of Sabari and Godavari rivers. There is a small stream infront of the temple. The water of the stream is believed to be cool in all seasons. Tourists can buy local handicrafts made of bamboo.
